Join Kristin and Tanner, of Cacao Connection (click here to read more about their journey with the Spirit of Cacao), for a week of chocolately magic on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. We are thrilled to offer you this opportunity to join us in a sacred space for our community to gather and thrive together. We will share multiple cacao ceremonies in this week-long retreat, as well as connect for daily sunrise yoga classes. Plant-based meals will be served, and will likely be accompanied by conscious conversation, inspiration and heart connection. Don't miss out on this chance to get a deeper look at what sacred ceremonial gatherings can show each of us - the magic that lies deep within your own being.
Cacao Supports Change...
The time is NOW. WE are the ones we have been waiting for.
Our intention for hosting these retreats at Los Milagritos is to create a safe and supportive environment for all who wish to make a shift toward a simpler, healthier, more joyful, more authentic and more meaningful life on all levels; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
If you have been feeling the need to make some positive changes in your life, if you are seeking inspiration in a conscious community setting, or if you are in the midst of a positive life transition, this may be the perfect place for you. Here at Los Milagritos, you will find a supportive environment among others who may be on a similar path in life.
We will all be following a plant-based diet on site, offering 3 communal vegetarian meals per day, prepared for you by our staff (occasional off-site meals at local restaurants are an option if needed, but we encourage you to try to stick with our simple and delicious plant-based nourishment as much as possible).
We will also be practicing daily morning yoga as a group. However, the bulk of each day will be for you to give yourself what you need: rest, exploration, reading, conversation, learning, contemplation, adventure, etc.
Our group will gather after supper in the evenings to share conscious conversation and learn new things together in a variety of workshops!
Is This Retreat Right for You?

We encourage connections and learning among our community of guests
Our facility is a non-smoking, drug and alcohol-free environment

***Retreats are all limited to 10 guests, which creates a close-knit family feel
What Makes This Retreat Unique?
Los Milagritos Guest House is a 6 bedroom house located in the ocean side community of Punta de Zicatela, in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico. Aptly named, after the property itself was transformed, resulting in the creation of a unique healing haven. Many "little miracles" have taken place here, and we believe that many more are yet to come.
Each guest room has its own private bathroom (with cold water only...don't worry, it will be warm and sunny, so you will enjoy the refreshing coolness!). There are three rooms upstairs with king beds and three rooms downstairs with two double beds in each. We will do our best to help you choose the right accommodation for your needs. We encourage double occupancy, but privacy is available in the king rooms (see rates chart at the bottom of this page).
Our outdoor communal dining space creates opportunities each day to get to know each other a little better. We have a dedicated team of cooks on site to create delicious and nourishing vegetarian meals for our group everyday (all of your meals are included in all of our rates) so you have more time to spend on self care and enjoyment of your surroundings. You can rest assured knowing that we have your wellness in mind.
Daily yoga classes will be held onsite and are included in all of our rates. During the abundant free time each day, you may choose to rest in a hammock in the shade of the palms, or take a short stroll to the nearby beaches. For more adventurous souls, surfing is one of the main attractions for visitors to Playa Zicatela, as it is a top global surfing destination. Surf lessons and board rentals are available nearby for an additional fee. There are gentler swimming and snorkeling beaches just a short cab ride away if the waves are too intimidating.
There are also numerous shops and restaurants within walking distance if you feel like exploring. Other local outings and adventures (at additional cost) could include: horseback riding, a hot springs visit, bioluminescent laguna swimming, and more!
A Simple and Sweet Space

A Few Last Details...
Getting to us:
Closest Airports? There is an international airport in Puerto Escondido, just a short cab ride from us. There is also one in Huatulco (which appears to be the best option for time spent travelling and price) approx. 2 hours away via SUR bus ($5) cab or shuttle. (Make sure you have some pesos on you for the drivers.)
You can also fly into Oaxaca City, and take a very long and exciting bus ride to Puerto Escondido...we can say for sure, that it is NOT for the faint of heart or those with a weak stomach!
*TIP: you may save quite a bit of $$$ if you book a flight to Mexico City, and then book your connecting flight separately from Mexico City to one of the nearby Mexican airports mentioned above. Make sure you search around for the best flight deals! :)
*Look out for flight deals at Next Departure (for Canadians) and Trip Advisor (for anyone), among many other helpful travel sites and apps.
Getting from Puerto Escondido Airport to Los Milagritos:
(prices are approx.)
Airport Shuttle - $80 pesos
Airport Cab - $300 pesos
OR stroll outside of the airport to catch a local cab for around $60 pesos
